Rosehip Oil

Five Marys incorporates rosehip oil in our ‘swirl’ tallow. Rosehip oil’s benefits are often regarded as the ‘Oil of Youth’ because of it’s brightening properties and effectiveness in accelerating skin regeneration, soothing dryness, inflammation and acne, reducing the appearance of scars, healing wounds, and promoting moisture retention in the skin.
Jojoba Oil

Five Marys adds jojoba oil to all of our tallow skincare because of its numerous benefits. Jojoba oil is a non-comedogenic (non-pore clogging) oil that closely resembles the skin’s natural sebum. It is incredibly moisturizing, anti-inflammatory, and is rich in vitamin E… great for supporting collagen production and protecting the skin from premature aging and wrinkles!
Lavender Essential Oil

Five Marys offers either non-scented or lavender scented tallow skincare. Lavender essential oil has antibacterial and antifungal properties that help fight off infections and can be effective against ance, eczema, psoriasis, and rosacea. Lavender oil is a natural moisturizer and is known to have a calming and soothing effect on the skin.

You can use beef tallow anywhere that you’re needing some deep hydration! Our favorite way to use tallow is as part of our daily skincare routine on our face and neck. You can also slather on your hands and feet to keep them soft, and use on your belly when you’re pregnant (or even when you’re not) to help with stretch marks.
Nope! We start with high-quality, clean beef suet and our intensive rendering process cleans and renders the tallow into a pure form that loses any smell. We offer both unscented and lavender scented tallow.
Nope! We’d say it feels more silky than greasy. A little goes a LONG way, so start with a pea sized amount and add more if needed. You’ll be amazed how moisturizing a small amount is.
Tallow is shelf-stable but should be kept in a cool, dry place (like your bathroom cabinet) and can last up to a year if stored correctly.
